BPM dont change to a faster level

Hello all!

I bought recently the DDJ - SX and as I start practicing, I noticed that in the left button which is able to change the BPM, responds only if i want to reduce them, thus make the song slower. Its moving normally, but i dont see the bpm changing on the serato. This doesnt happen though, to the right side of the controller, the button works both ways.

What is this again? Is there any way to solve it or even change it inside the serato using the laptop?

(ps i tried to press and unpress all the buttons around, restarted the consolle and the serato, but the issue remained)

Looking forward for your replies

It's possible that the pitch fader on the left deck is faulty; one way to verify that would be to switch over to deck 3 -- if the same thing occurs there, then the only fix is to have it repaired, in which case, please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your DDJ inspected and/or repaired.

Also, from the moment you are an expert about the pioneer products, I would love to hear your honest opinion about something please...

If you want to play keys live with a midi keyboards and the ableton, is it more easy and safe to use thee direct link trough serato, to use a controller with traktor or to play keys indepenently, and not interfere the ableton with the dj software..?

rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro both have Ableton Link, which allows the DJ software to send tempo information over to Ableton (or other Ableton Link compatible applications) so anything you do there will be synchronized. Ableton is probably your best bet for the keyboard to control and then it's just a matter of routing the audio.
