This is not a problem - on occasion, a different firmware version is used to indicate a change in the internal components during manufacturing.
Hi,
I recently got in my new XDJs and I wanted to use it. but 1 player is shipped with ver 1.44. And the other one is at the current firmware 1.42.
I can't use the link feature because they both on different firmwares and the firmware on the website only goes to 1.42. And keep getting the error that the other player is on a different firmware version.
Help please :D?
Tried updating the one on ver 1.44 to 1.42 but obviously that doesn't work.

I have the same problem since yesterday, after buying two additional XDJ-1000MK2.
Help me again...
Hi Pulse, thanks for the reply.
I've contacted the retailer and their contact at Pioneer said that the problem is known and there is a fix coming?
I understand it's not a problem for you. But I suspect it's not normal I get prompted every-time I turn them on that I have to update them. That being said, I wouldn't have any problems with it if that wasn't the case.
I hope you understand.
Joeri,
Again, this is not a problem; the players are perfectly fine, and no fix is necessary. You can use the 1.44 version as installed.
Really odd answer in my opinion mate. So you say I just have to live with the fact that one player is not on the same firmware, while they're the same products, and that I just have to ignore the error prompt the one gives? If they wouldn't give that error message every time I started them I wouldn't even care.
C'mon Pulse, you know that doesn't smell right. Sorry if I am exaggerating but would you do the same if you bought a car and it gives an error sound every-time you start the car, but you can drive normally. You call the car company support and they give you an answer like; "hey, car works, it drives right? So no problem. the car is fine." While you just spent a hefty sum of money.
I understand your pov, but I hope you understand mine as well.
Regards, Joeri
I totally understand and I've asked our team to provide a detailed answer on it, but the warning message can easily be bypassed as it only appears once and there is no detriment to the function.
I've been informed that the information I provided above is accurate; there was a change to the manufacturing which resulted in an updated version number. An updated firmware will be released (v1.44) to provide version matching although there are not other fixes included. Thanks for your patience.
Thanks Pulse,
I then patiently await the firmware upgrade.
Have a good day.
Regards, Joeri
Heads up that the 1.44 update is now available to install on your other players so there's no more version notification.
