XDJ-XZ Beat match issues

I just bought an XDJ XZ and I feel like I'm losing my mind. I simply cannot keep two tracks matched for any amount of time. I can line them up on the beat grids as best i can and then they instantly start to wander & I'm constantly nudging to keep them together.

I'm using it in standalone mode, off of a USB. Latest Firmware, at first was using MT, then saw to try with it off, deck quantize also off and it helps, but just barely.

Then I find this thread https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/900001471023-Pioneer-XDJ-XZ-running-out-of-Sync-with-MT-on-

If I'm reading this right, due to the way Rekordbox analyzes tracks, there really isn't any way for tracks to just stay set & they will always wander unless using sync & even then things won't be quite correct.

Is this really just a known issue with controllers, possibly this specific controller & Rekordbox? I honestly feel I can't do anything because I'm constantly fighting to keep two tracks matched. They just instantly deviate. There has to be something I'm doing wrong here.

Are you meaning playing two different tracks with identical BPMs (say to two decimal places). And what about if you are playing the same track on both decks.

Yeah, had very similar probs, I was finding that bpm wasn't constant too, drifting very slightly up and down, almost impossible to keep anything in sync.

What fixed it for me in the end was re-analysing all the tracks in 'normal' mode, rather than 'dynamic' mode.

^^^ Exactly. If you have accidentally analysed a song with a consistent (electronic) percussion in dynamic analysis mode, or inversely, a song with a live drummer (eg. rock / country / disco) in normal analysis mode, the grid will appear fine, but there will be micro-adjustments made in the grid spacing and timings that cause the pitch to change ever so slightly during playback. Please verify the analysis used is correct.
