DDJ SX2

So I used to have a Microsoft laptop that worked fine with serato and my ddj sx2 controller. I recently bought a MacBook air (2015) and for a while, it also worked fine with the controller. Then one day, my pads stopped lighting up as well as my fx buttons and several of my functions aren't working. Its strange because whenever I connect it to my old laptop, everything works. Something about this macbook is causing the controller to not function correctly. I can still mix but I can't the use roll, slicer or sampler functions. And what's even more strange, is occasionally when I turn everything on, it all works fine. But it's totally random and I can't seem to pinpoint what I'm doing to recreate it.

Hey Eric,

Try this... open the Audio MIDI Setup app (Applications > Utilities), then open the MIDI Studio window (Window > Show MIDI Studio Window).

Click the drop-down at the top of the window, select New Configuration... and add a new one (name it anything).

You should now see a new MIDI hardware device listing with the DDJ-SX2 listed.

Next, open Serato and click into the preferences. Click the MIDI tab, then in the upper window, click the SX2 and then uncheck the "Allow hardware remapping" box at the top and see if things are working.
