DDJ SX2 Flashing Master Level/ Version 0.01/ or DDJSX2 not connected FIX

Alright I felt like I needed to post this because I can't be the only one with this issue especially with the new incoming Big Sur update to Mac. I use a DDJ Sx2 for all my gigs and noticed that being on 1.02 firmware there were features missing on the new serato. Updating the DDJ Sx2 to 1.06 was a pain but i figure it out.

FIrst: Plug in the power and make sure its plugged in to your laptop/computer

Second: hold down the shift and sync, at the same time turn it on. The master level L/R should be flashing

Third: Locate the .jar firmware update and run it. You might have to go to security in system preferences on a mac to allow it to run

Fourth: click start!

1. If it says cant find DDJ SX2 make sure its plugged in correctly

2. Make sure it is blinking on the master levels

3. If it fails and your device is blinking try it one more time

Fifth: If you see your device is on V.01 then run update one more time and it should unbrick it.
