Master light not flashing for FIRMWARE UPDATE Macbook M1

Hi! Doing exactly as it says for firmware update: pushing down SYNC and SHIFT on the left side but MASTER light is not flashing. Without that I cannot start update'ing. Where is the problem? Thanx 😻
