ddjsr2 pad touch sensitivity

I had my ddjsr2 serviced for an issue with the effects knobs.  this issue has been resolved.  when I got the controller back the left pads are noticeably more sensitive to touch compared to the right. I sent the controller in for service again.  a board was replaced and the issue has not been resolved.  is it normal for the sensitivity to vary greatly between the left and right deck on a ddjsr2?  all service was done at an authorized service center in Canada .

Hi Vic,

Sorry to hear about that -- the sensitivity should be the same between each deck. There is no adjustable option you can set (as the pads are not velocity sensitive), nor is there an internal calibration for that. The only thing I can think (and this is personal opinion) is that there's been a change to the components used in the manufacturing of the player board (each side is a separate board), and the newer components have a different response.

I would contact the service shop to inquire about that and to see if they can address it.
