When you cannot log in to Beatport or Beatsource via rekordbox with active streaming service plan

If you are not able to login to "Beatport" or "Beatsource" and see an error message "In order to DJ with Beatport Streaming tracks, you need to upgrade to an Advanced or Professional plan", even your streaming service plan is valid, please try the following method to delete the files.

 

For a Mac user:

Please try deleting the following five txt files and try to log in again. You will need to show the hidden folders and files.

Open the Finder, click Go > Go to Folder... from the menu bar at the top of your screen:

In the window that pops up, copy/paste this: ~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox6/

...and click the Go button: 

rekordbox6 folder will open, so delete BeatportSettings.txt,

and delete the following four txt files. 

Users/username/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox6/.beatport (in this folder)

  • u.txt

.beatport/(in the folder with numbers like 648378)

  • l.txt
  • r.txt
  • u.txt

If you don't know which txt files, you can just delete the .beatport folder and BeatportSettings.txt.

 

Note: .beatport folder is a hidden folder, so it is transparent.

Hold Cmd + Shift and press . (dot), then all the hidden files show.  

 

Clear your browser cache and see if you can log in to Beatport.

For a PC user:

Please try deleting the following five txt files and try to log in again. You will need to show the hidden folders and files.

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox6\BeatportSettings.txt

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox6\beatport (in this folder)

  • u.txt

beatport/(in the folder with numbers like 1116444)

  • l.txt
  • r.txt
  • u.txt

"AppData" is a hidden folder, if you cannot see the folder, please tick the explorer's setting.

If you don't know which txt files, you can just delete the beatport folder and BeatportSettings.txt.

 

Clear your browser cache and see if you can log in to Beatport.

If you are a Beatsource user, delete the BeatsourceSettings.txt file and other txt files in the beatsource folder. You can find in the same location.
