Torrance, CA (September 8, 2016): Want to start DJing? Look no further than Pioneer DJ’s DDJ-WeGO4 – the perfect piece of hardware for beginner DJs to step into the world of mixing. DJs can use the new lightweight controller to mix music from their iTunes library stored on their iPad or control tracks stored on their laptop.

The DDJ-WeGO4 features all the tactile controls needed to learn to mix seamlessly, including play/cue buttons, EQ knobs, tempo sliders, a crossfader and jog wheels for scratching. The sampler, Hot Cues and Pad FX are all inherited from professional hardware, bringing even more creative possibilities to users’ sets. Setting up the DDJ-WeGO4 is easy too – just plug in the supplied USB cable or a Lightning cable and it’s ready to use – and an iPad fits neatly into the slot at the top of the controller to give DJs the perfect viewing angle.

A license key for Pioneer DJ’s professional DJ performance application for Mac/PC, rekordbox dj ($129.00 value), comes bundled with the DDJ-WeGO4, so users can plug it into a laptop and start DJing straight out of the box. The DDJ-WeGO4 is compatible with the popular djay iOS and Android app.

The controller is also compatible with WeDJ, Pioneer DJ’s new, easy-to-use DJ performance app for iPad (available at an introductory price of $2.99 in the App Store), which lets users easily mix tracks from their iTunes library. WeDJ’s colorful animated interface offers users the ability to control the tracks in their iTunes playlists and add a variety of features and FX to get creative with their sets. By connecting an iPad into speakers, users can DJ at parties, or use headphones for practicing on the go.

The WeDJ app looks like a two-channel hardware set-up with waveforms, jog wheels, play/cue buttons, tempo sliders and a crossfader. Use the Sync button to get tracks perfectly in time and Auto Gain to automatically set the volume to the right level, leaving you free to use the performance features including Hot Cues, loops, Pad FX and Combo FX to make your mix unique. There’s also an Automix feature, which seamlessly mixes in the next track before the end of the track that’s playing.

The DDJ-WeGO4 will be available in the U.S. and Canada from September 2016, with a retail price of $299.00. WeDJ is available in the App Store at an introductory price of $2.99 until September 30, 2016, and at the regular price of $4.99 from October 1, 2016. 1. Colorful, animated user interface for intuitive control

The display’s colorful, intuitive layout gives you visual feedback, making it easy to learn the basics of DJing and transition to using hardware including controllers. See the controls and jog wheels react as you adjust the tempo, scratch tracks and tweak EQs. The color of the waveforms and jog wheels change according to the color of the album cover image, so you can easily keep track of what’s on each deck.
