Did you unzip the firmware? Did you remove the 1.22 firmware file from the drive (is the only firmware file on the drive the current one)?

XDJ-XZ firmware
current firmware 1.22 and tried updating to 1.24. i connected the usb and it automatically says update complete. But i check the firmware on the controller and it still says version 1.22. So do i need 1.23 first or what should i try next?

i did unzip and copied the XDJZ.UPD file onto the drive. and the only file on my drive is the 1.24 firmware file.

Got it to work! figured out it was on the file name preventing it
