Unable to delete tracks from device

Hi, 

I am using the last version of Rekordbox (4.2.5) and I am not able to delete tracks from my USB drive. I go to Devices \ All tracks, I select my track, right click and chose Delete Track. A pop up window comes up "Are you sure you want to remove the selected tracks?" I click OK and the screen flashes message: "Removing Track 1/1". But then the track is not removed!! I also tried removing the track from my music collection before trying to delete from my USB but still the same (although I doubt this has anything to do). I am not 100% since when this is happening but this process definitely worked 5/6 months ago. Is this a bug??

Have you verified that it doesn't also exist in a playlist, or have you tried removing the drive / reconnecting it?

This is not limited to a USB device or a song. I had this problem a couple of weeks ago with a few songs and ended up having to delete the full contents of the key and re-synching the whole USB device from scratch in order to delete some songs. Yesterday I ended up doing the same thing after 1 hour trying to delete the song. I tried to remove the song from all playlists but it was still doing the same thing. Flashing as if deleting the song but the song was not deleted. Either way, if you are not supposed to delete a song when it is on a playlist, the software should return an error message, right? And to be honest I am not even sure this is really the case. I have used Rekordbox for 2 years now and I have always been able to delete songs without having to remove them from the playlist. This is also the way Itunes works, i.e. when you delete a song, the software removes the song from the playlist too. and to me it makes perfect sense.

But I doubt the drive would be the problem. I have had this drive for over a year and I used to delete tracks without problems before. This problem only started a couple of months ago so I am more inclined to think it is version related. Are you able to delete tracks from a USB device without problems in version 4.2.5?

Yeah, I just tested on both Mac and PC with two different USB drives and had no issues. Have you considered reformatting the drive and exporting everything again to start fresh?
