Midi Learn with djm-450

Hi there

I am having an issue with the Midi Learn function in rekordbox.

First of all rekordbox Midi Learn doesn't display any settings if i import the midi-file for the djm-450 (unlike, for example, the ddj-sx, where it displays  function, deck, midi in, type, midi out and comment).

Since i'm not using the FX, i wanted to use the "Time"-Rotary as a Browser/Track selector. Sadly, rekordbox does not recognize the Rotary as two-way and only lets me browse forward, no matter what direction i am turning.

I tried to set it as "Browse Forward" and "Browse Back", but since those functions expect a button, it won't let me use the Rotary for both functions.

Also it doesn't let me finetune the rotation. 1 Click jumps several Tracks and i don't see an option to adjust that.

I love the djm-450 (well, for now i love the Magvel Fader) and i really would like to be able to browse and select Tracks without touching the Laptop or buying extra equipment.

You posted that on Christmas Eve, and if some other posts were answered, it may be that they were older and addressed first.

Regardless, the DJM-450 isn't designed as a MIDI controller for rekordbox, which is why nothing appears in that box. Yes, you can end up assigning things, but as you note, the controls you're looking for aren't configured for that type of input, hence the rotary not controlling both functions.

The MIDI functionality is still undergoing fine tuning and updating, we hope in future versions that the input control type for all MIDI controls can be changed, but for the time being, it's a bit limited.

Thanks for your feedback.

Well... i guess i'll use the surface-books touchscreen to use hotcues and stripsearch then.

Thanks you for your answer.
