Can you update djm-900nxs firmware without LAN cable?

I have a new mac book without an ethernet cable port. Is connecting the djm-900nxs to a computer via LAN cable the only way to update the firmware?

Per the update instructions, no - the only way to update the firmware is with an ethernet connection, sorry. You can purchase an adapter for your MacBook or use another computer that has an ethernet port.
