Broken crossfader &a poor customer service

I had my djm S9 for less than a year and the crossfader stem snapped in half. I called multiple times only to be given conflicting information. First I was told it would be covered under warranty, then I was told it would not be only then to be told again it would be. Then I was told to send proof of purchase which I did and I would receive a call with in 3 days.... never happened.... finally having enough with attempting to get it covered under warranty because djing is my full time job and I need the fastest resolution possible I attempt to order the part. Only to find out Pioneer does not sell their own parts and I had to call a third party company to order a new one. Which I call and find out it's a 6 week wait until I can receive it. Safe to say I'm beyond disappointed and angry as I should not be having these kind of problems with a $1,700 mixer. Good thing I recently found out inofaders apparently can fit into S9s. It's a shame tho because I'll be loosing the ability to adjust the tension, reverse and easily adjust the kill gap.... thanks for nothing Pioneer

Sorry to hear about your experience, Sean.  You should have been instructed to bring your S9 and proof of purchase to your nearest authorized repair center.  They would have repaired it for you free of charge, as the unit is still under the factory warranty.

Are the engineers looking at what is causing this to happen in the first place?? Because I would bet money on the same thing happening again after replacing it. Fader stems don't just break for no apparent reason. Clearly the metal is rubbing and becoming weaker - and my guess is that its the faceplate that it is rubbing against. On mine the stem is very very close to the faceplate.
