Flipping playing tracks between Pro-Linked CDJs / XDJs

Last spring I bought a CDJ/DJM NXS2 setup. I love it- it got me completely away from having to bring/use a laptop and the workflow is very natural.

At some of the venues I've been playing, two decks often feels a little limiting. For instance, I'll do the usual blend from deck to deck but sometimes I'm finding it would be really nice to be able to have a third deck in order keep a loop going on one of the other decks for longer and still be able to browse and cue up the next track.

I'm thinking about buying an XDJ-700 just for the purpose of being this little "loop deck" and possibly for playing acapellas to help the blend of the two tracks together.

If I'm going to designate the XDJ-700 as my "loop deck", though, I would need to be able to pull any loop/cue/track that is already playing on one of my 2000's and have it start playing on the XDJ700 automatically without having to go browse for it again in my collection, etc... That takes too much time to do.

I feel like I've accidentally hit some sequence of buttons on my 2000's before which automatically loaded and started playing the track that was playing on the other deck. I feel like it should be possible through the Pro-DJ link but I don't even know what it would be called in order to google it. The workflow would be like this:

1. A track is playing on a deck A

2. A track is playing on a deck B

3. Track in deck A is just about done, I loop the 16 bar dead zone and keep it playing while blending in track B.

4. I pull the track / loop from deck A over to deck C and continue it playing.

5. I begin to browse for the next track on deck A and eventually blend out the loop playing on deck C.

Is this possible? How would I do it? What's it called?

It's called instant doubles.  This would not playback a loop, though.

You could use the Helix Effect on the DJM-900NXS2 to create a loop from one channel and then switch the selector to another channel and that loop will be playing back on that channel.

I'm looking at the manual and it seems it might be possible to do this using tag lists and either hot cues or by holding the SYNC button down for 1 second (to start the track playing in the same position).
