Rekordbox sync vs XDJ 1000 mk2 sync?

Hi

Could someone please explain to me how two tracks mixed together in rekordbox, on my laptop using sync, will stay perfectly in sync and require no adjustments to stay in time.

If I export these exact same tracks and try the mix on xdj1000 mk2's with sync on they drift? and they require adjustment to keep the mix in time. The tracks are both analysed in rekordbox and I have manually adjusted the beat grids perfectly. I expect sync on the xdj1000's to behave exactly the same as the rekordbox software and keep the tracks perfectly in time?

Thank you.

Adam Hawker

Same issue on all of the XDJ line at the moment. I thought they had fixed it with the latest update/firmware but my XDJ-RX still does it.
I've given up on my thread and am just waiting at the moment. They must be aware as there are loads of threads on here about the same issue.

All my tracks are gridded the same way I've been doing it for years in Traktor and now in Rekordbox. My tracks also hold sync in RBDJ. Good job I can beatmatch by ear :P

I've got two kids of my own ... I know exactly what that's like. ;)

Thanks for the vids, but your EQ positions are killing me!

Can you do another video with a track where the red part of the beat is at the grid marker and show the rekordbox screen more? Track 1 looks to be off, but you never show the screen while it's playing so I can't see it (and the XDJ-RX screen resolution is too low to really show the waveform / beat grid accuracy).

But you can audibly hear that one vid is off on the XDJ-RX? I'm not making this stuff up, so many people are having the same issue.

Track 1 Start of Grid

Track 1 End of Grid

Track 2 Start of Grid

Track 2 Start End Grid

All my tracks are gridded my me exactly the same way I am very anal about this stuff.

These are the same two tracks in the 2 videos above by the way.

I'm happy to do as many videos as I can for you, can you just clarify what you want to see and where? Then I'll go do it straight away for you.

In the RX vid, I could hear it was off, but it certainly didn't seem like the grids were in the right place. On the rekordbox vid, it was on, but I couldn't see the grids.

Two different tracks, showing the rekordbox waveforms as it plays, and the XDJ-RX waveform as it plays.

If you can do it with a freshly formatted USB drive, exporting just the sample tracks for test, that would help eliminate (or point to) other factors.

I think I have what you want, just uploading.

I know its not my grids as i am so particular about them its not true, and I've only ever had this issue using the XDJ-RX. Never experienced this using RBDJ the last 18 months and i'm not doing anything different.

Just to confirm my controller is using Firmware 2.20 and I am using Rekordbox 4.2.5.

@Pulse

Can you confirm if you need any information from me mate? Also would love to know what your engineers think of my video.

Really hope we can get this sorted.

Hi,
Same issue, same configuration:
Mac + Rekordbox 4.2.5 + XDJ RX Firmware 2.20

Synced when playing on rekordbox "performance", beat grid fails when playing on XDJ RX linked to rekordbox "export" as library.

I can add that it happened with the lasts rekordbox updates.
Before updating it worked well.

I have installed the update 4.3 it seems to work a bit better, but the issue is still there.

They're constantly working to improve it, but I don't have MK2's to test it and verify myself.

Hey guys. I have been contacted by @Keiko from Pioneer and there is now a proper open support case for this. I doubt that its an easy fix, but they are looking at it officially now.

Fingers crossed!

The ticked I have with Pioneer is still open for this issue. I did email for an update a couple of weeks ago and they said the Engineers are still working on it.

Yep, they can't replicate it with all tracks and are investigating the cause. Thanks for your patience.
