Hello, was wondering if the Toraiz AS-1 has real time record mode so you can play and record melodies in real time? Or is it just step mode? Can't seem to find too much info on the sequencer. This is a big feature for me. Thanks

The Toraiz AS-1 only supports step Mode recording if your are using the unit stand alone. But you can always trigger it with the SP-16 or any other midi controller and have real time recording.

Ah ok, cool. Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe this can be added in a future firmware update. A lot of instruments have this feature, such as the monologue, tb-3, and even the volca range. A real time record mode is great for improvising and creating sequences live on the spot. Thanks again
I agree with Ali. Real time recording is a must for me. Recording in real time is better for feel, and then going back and tweaking the sequence is the preferred method for building a sequence. Even the Toraiz SP-16 has this capability.

Does anyone know if the toraiz as-1 is out yet,i preordered mine and the people at the place i ordered don't know what to tell me,they say pioneer changed the date to mid april,but i see people on youtube have it already,anyone?

The only way you can real time record is with the (Toraiz Plug SE) with a daw, or you can use it with the SP16 but that kinda sucks cause you can't use a keyboard only the pads on the SP16 will trigger the sequencer.That's all i can say about the real time recording.
