  1. Open Finder
  2. Click Go > Go to Folder...
  3. Enter ~/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox/
  4. Find datafile.edb and rename it to datafile.edb.original
  5. Launch rekordbox; a new, black database is created.

To revert, go to step 5 and rename datafile.edb to datafile.edb.test and rename datafile.edb.original to datafile.edb

Hello!

I asked how to create a blank database because after a lot of "Googling" I found someone who was having the same issue I was having:

Rekordbox not analyzing files.

After creating this blank database and re-opening Rekordbox, I added just a hand full of songs to test if Rekordbox would analyze the files and it did!!!

So part 1 of my little experiment is complete.

Now here lies the problem. I can afford as I don't have the time to re-analyze all of my files as I have close to 2TB of music and videos on my hard drives.

Now that we know how to fix the problem, is there a way where I can get my old collection back in Rekordbox and only have to analyze the new tracks moving forward??

I gave you instructions on reverting back to your original database in the previous post.

If you don't want to analyze the existing tracks, keep your auto-analysis disabled and select the new tracks, right-click and choose "Analyze" from the menu.
