Deleting a slice on toraoz

It would be better if when deleting a slice on the toraiz it actually deletes the wav not jus the slice marker that way the piece we dont want will no longer be there and we can adjust better, currently it is a hassle especially that 1st slice

Hello, I think it's not a good idea... Slices markers need to be kept as marker stamp. But instead they should implement more Sample editing option like copy, cut, delete, silence, adjust volume of a selection etc... and maybe working accordingly with markers ;)

I miss sample editing too ! We buy a PROFESSIONAL SAMPLER to not use a computer but for now with the Toraiz with need a computer for those things.

Not so nice.

That wouldn't be a desirable feature for me either. The track sample edit page should be non destructive. One thing I would like to see which would kind of achieve what you want is to select the slice that is present on each pad. Currently this is set using the area parameter but that just shifts the pads along and keeps them consecutive. It would be better to be able to select a slice per pad from all the available slices. not a deal breaker but would make life a little easier.

The sample editing could be improved somewhat too. A play marker when previewing the sample in the edit page would also be usefull.

what i mean is currently on the delete option it does not delete the piece of sample instead what it does is it deletes a marker making the slice before the one deleted longer, not good for editing.

Yeah, I was disappointed that I couldn't do something as trim the samples once I recorded it. Would be nice for improvisation and slicing. Able to trim the ends and make a smaller file footprint.

But the ability to edit a sample would be nice but seems like a lot more work involved. What could happen is that you could have the ability to null out portions of a sample so they wouldnt take up a sample pad since no matter what, if there is a portion of the sample you dont want, its going to be on a pad, the only workaround is to gate the pads and release before it reaches that point.

The toriaz would do some due diligence to check out an MPC. I only bought it because it appeared to be an easier workflow but some of the standard sampler features have been omitted like Trim.
