I think they are coming out with a long awaited firmware update. I've been waiting for a while now. The pitch doesn't work properly
I can't seem to figure out why Rekordbox DJ stops recording suddenly when when using my new RZX. I followed the instructions on having the ASIO set to Internal Mixer and I have adjusted the Latency . I read that the audio will cut out if the Latency is not set high enough. I set it both higher and lower than the standard setting. It seems the higher I put it the faster the audio will cut out. I put it a little lower and it went longer with out cutting out, but that just frustrated me since I was one track away from finishing my set and the audio cut out. Am I missing something? Sometimes the music doesn't just go quiet either. Sometimes it just starts making a loud dial tone sound. Is this a problem with the controller or the software? I already downloaded the new 4.3 beta version to see if this would fix it.

You know there is a 3 hours max time on the recording?
Does your PC have USB 3? If not that's likely your problem. This is not the same as USB Audio 2.0, I'm talking about the hardware interface needs to be USB 3.0
Thanks for responding guys. I wish it would record for 3 hours. I rarely record for longer than 2 hours. In this case the master out for recording cuts out much sooner. Depending on the buffer size I have tried it will cut out anywhete between 8 minutes to just under an hour.
I contacted Pioneer by phone and they had me try both sound cards to see if it follows, which it does. In this case he said it should be the software causing it since the chance of having 2 bad sound cards in one unit is small.
To answer your question ragdoll. My laptop has USB 3.0 connection. I use those inputs for the controller. There should be no issue with the hardware in my laptop. Here is a list of specs:
Intel i7 Quad-core CPU with turbo boost
16gb of Ram
256 PCIe SSD
1 TB HDD
950 Nvidia Processor
3.0 USB
Easily meets the recommended specs for the software . I don't even use the video part of the software or controller yet. Still experimenting with different settings to get this to work.
OK.
Let me ask you how old your windows installation is?
Windows 10/64 is by far the best version for Rekordbox.
It would be worth the effort of totally blowing out the current Windows and start with a fresh installation. If you just uninstall Rekordbox, files are spread across various parts of Windows and you will almost never get them all out.
Apply the latest fixes and patches for both windows, your PC BIOS, Sata controller and the GPU.
If that doesn't work try changing USB cable, which you could test first, and finally start fresh with Rekordbox but don't forget to open the Windows Firewall for Pioneer/Rekordbox and open it for Public networks as well, in case your network is not set to Private.
You can also try a program for testing the performance of the HDD, as sometimes misalligned blocks can cause writing conflicts. Google it.
Good luck.
