Toraiz A-S1

Hi I'm wondering how I can join the new Toraiz A-S1 synth machine up to my CDJ NXS2 so it all works synced with BPM also? And would you connect it into a channel on mixer via RCA?

@Danny > Currently the only way to truly sync the AS-1 with a CDJ is through an SP-16 as it can receive the rekordbox link data and export MIDI BPM signal.

Yes, you could connect the audio output to one of the channels on your mixer.

Okay thanks a lot only I don't have money for the both unfortunately so will the AS1 still work fine on its own plugged into my mixer for my DJ sets or will it drift out of play even if I had the AS1 set to same BPM as my track on CDJ?

Yes, it will work just fine on its own - you would manually set the BPM on the AS-1, and then if it starts to drift, simply press the Restart Sequence button and it will start again, hopefully in sync. You could also adjust the pitch or pitch-bend the CDJ source to accommodate any possible change / drift.

would it stay in sync if signal is sent by midi out from the mixer into AS-1's midi input?

Yes and no - the accuracy of the BPM signal sent by the mixer is not "clock perfect" as the beatgrid is from the ProDJ Link. It could allow the AS-1 to stay at the right tempo, but not perfectly in sync.

As long as you don't decide to change patches it will stay in sync! Unbelievable!
