Rekordbox getting track and album info

hi all I have recently just bought a years worth of dance cd from cd pool ripped them to my laptop using windows media player to a folder in mp3, I was told by cd pool I could import them to my rekordbox and it would find my album name track name etc .

I have analysed the tracks but only get unknown album and bpm no name of the album or track names how or is there a way to get this info without manually inputting the data myself   (I'm kind of new to rekordbox any help would be great)

regards james

@sham > It sounds like the software didn't actually tag the metadata to the audio files, just named them. Perhaps try using an ID3 tag editing software capable of batch processing to add the metadata to the files before importing them to rekordbox.

rekordbox itself doesn't rip CDs, it can record audio from an input, that's it.

At the time I used Itunes to rip my cd from my great music collection. Consider that I have ripped over 6,000 and found only few information.

Ripping with Rekordbox you already find the songs in the library. I do not know if it automatically puts all the info on the cd.
