I have just bought these DM-40 speakers. The sound is very good. I understand the speakers go into auto standby mode after a while, but they are supposed to wake up if sound is played.

Usually it's OK, but a couple of times they wouldn't wake up. Turning the power switch on and off at the back (as suggested in 'troubleshooting') doesn't work either. I've even tried pulling out the power cord and then re-connecting. Eventually, after many attempts, it powers up again. What is the problem? Are my speakers faulty? What should I do?

Perhaps Pioneer needs to rethink... this auto-standby mode is really not a good idea. Can't think why anyone would want this, particularly if it is temperamental.

I had the same issue during my last party. I was not able to powered them again. I just discovered that now they are working again. I would like how I can force the power ON again!!. I tried to unplug and plug the power supply 10 times without success. Please let me know what I have to do!!!

I experienced the same issue with my DM 40 speakers. To turn on the power and sound, I disconnect either one of the RCA cables (either left or right) and the sound comes back on. Then I reconnect the RCA cables.
