Importing new tracks to top of playlist

Can anyone explain why new tracks in RB are always imported at the bottom of a playlist? I find this really annoying. To me it makes more sense to have the new tracks come in at the top of the list. Now, especially in longer playlists, I have to drag the new tracks to the top myself. Can this be changed?

The sorting defaults to a "numbered order" as in "the order I added them" because you may want to specifically order the tracks in your playlist to be in that specific play order.

You can reverse that column sort so it has the last ones at the top, but as @Henrik says, you can sort by any column, and then re-number the list by that preference if you'd like.

So I understand that I can sort by "date added", but that does not change the order in the playlist on my device. It only shows it in RB itself. The same thing goes for reversing the column from bottom to top; it doesn't show up any different on my device. So the only way to renumber is to drag them to the position I want? There is not a way to alter the default "numbered order"? If that is so, I really do not understand why the default would not be to order the newest added at the top. If you add new tracks you want them at the top of your list, not to have to drag them 20,60 or 100+ positions to the top. I have one playlist called "New House" in which I dump all my new tracks. This playlist is several years old so there are about 500 tracks in there. It's literally a drag to have to drag new tracks to the top every time....

Ah, on the export - yeah, that's a problem. I'll raise it with the rekordbox team. I know there's a lack of inability to reverse sort on a CDJ, thus the need to do it within rekordbox, but the problem I came across while trying to help you with this was that you can reverse the playlist number order, but then it can't re-number to retain that order!

Okay, partial solution found; the track numbers CAN be reverse-sorted quite easily... but the right-click menu option is missing (a bug; to be resolved) - you can still access this function through the Playlist menu at the top of the screen.
