DDJ SR2 - Needle Drop Issue

I am using the default settings the pioneer ddj sr2 shipped with. However there seems to be an issue with the needle drop location. When I tap to the top of the needle drop bar nothing happens. On the second block nothing happens. On the third block it goes to that part of the track.

The needle drop feature isn't responsive at the beginning of the bar. How can this be fixed, it only seems to work correctly from the third block on the bar and upwards.
