Yuck. Definitely not a product suggestion (check the location you're posting to pls!); passing this along to the team for review.
After 45 min.to an hour of recording samples and playing with the unit i decided to save and get back to it later,I hit the save as package as usual and the unit completely froze could not save anything and could not use any of the functions none of the buttons were responsive not even the power button so i pulled out the USB stick and still the unit kept on flashing, had to unplug the unit something i hate to do while on,but it did show something on screen i don't recall seeing before, here is a pic of what was on screen.

Lol,sorry bout that it didnt have djs option
Yes @Pulse there is no section for now for the DJS 1000 :p
Need to modify the forum to reflect that new product in the DJ Section
I know it's not listed, but it falls into the TORAIZ product family (even though it also isn't branded as such).
Do you have any advice concerning how to get the usb reader on the djs 1000 to actually read my files?
1. I have tried multiple usb sticks, different brands and sizes.
2. I have formatted them all.
3. I have placed them in the djs 1000 where a file is created.
4. I remove the usb stick.
5. I load a few loopmaster .wav files onto the stick and properly eject.
6. I load usb stick back into djs 1000, click project, click open.....nothing!
I have been at this for 2 days and am very frustrated. Can you help?
@NoirlawTry refomatting (FAT32)
@Noirlaw forgot to mention,if you using them china usb knockoffs it may not work, i tried it once on the Toraiz to save a few bucks and it didn't work, they garbage.Try Sandisk they haven't failed me yet and i have them on all my units.
Just moments ago, I tried 2 brand new usb sticks, Scandisk and Lexar. Nothing works. Can you give me your steps? I’m desperate to my this work. And, I’m a pretty intelligent person (I’m a lawyer), so I’m pretty sure I’m following the directions for formatting properly.
Did you try to fomat the drive at FAT32?
Yes, sir. But, I’m trying again. I will first try again on my MacBook Pro and if that doesn’t work I will try the same thing on a PC.
If on your computer that option is not available you may have to dowload a program,i use Miniaide Fat32 Formatter its free and works good.
Did you put them into the DJS folder on the drive? It is currently limited in the scope it can access.
Thank you for responding. Yes, I placed them in the DJS folder on the usb drive. Still nothing. To make sure I’m not losing my mind and to make sure the Loopmaster .wav files were good to go, I tried them in Ableton Live and my Push 2, everything worked just fine. I really want to be able to use my DJS 1000, but I’ve now spent over 7 hours working on this problem. What is more frustrating is that the technical writers included nothing in either the short or long user manual regarding the specific way(s) to setup the usb (take a look for yourself). This equipment is very expensive and should work without too much hassle. Please assist.
Thanks -- what was the bit rate / sample depth of those files you were trying to use?
.wav files, average size 1.6mb.
I understand they're WAV files, but what is the bit depth and sample rate of those files?
I'm on Mac also and that's a problem ! Because now on Windows you get ExFat and NTFS. Mac is the same ExFat and NTFS and usb stick is always difficult to open then on a windows based system.
I use successfully iPartition to format properly a usb stick in FAT or FAT32, insert it on the toraiz, eject and verify The TORAIZ SP16 created its folder hierarchy on the usb stick. If not try to save a demo project as a package on the usb stick.
Should work as expected after that.
@Jessie > You can format FAT32 on Mac.

hello bryson,
what issue are you having, are the samples not loading?
below is a link for the recommended file formats for the DJS-1000.
http://faq.pioneerdj.com/product.php?lang=en&p=DJS-1000&t=faq&c=search&qq=file+support
Hopefully this can help.
Thank You.
I have just worked through this USB sample loading issue myself and the answer seems to be that the TJS-TSP software and DJS-1000 are VERY fussy about what USB drive you use. Formatting drives FAT32 on my MacBook Pro, all the drives I tried were recognized by the DJS (PIONEER DJ SAMPLER written to them) but .tpkg files were successfully transferred from DJS-TSP software and then recognized by the DJS with only one of them. The new Sandisk Ultra Fit that works fine with Rekordbox and my XDJs does not work, neither did several other USB drives I had lying around. The only one that worked for me was an old Sandisk Cruzer 32GB. I’m going to try a couple more USB drive models (including a Sandisk Extreme Pro that was recommended on a forum post somewhere) and will update.
Bottom line: I was having issues with USB drive sample transfer that sound like those above. Fix for me was to use particular make/model of USB drive.

@Noirlaw I figured it out!
1. Use a Sandisk Cruzer 32GB
2. If you have samples on it, take them off, set them aside on the desktop for now.
3. Reformat that disk AGAIN! To FAT32.
4. The Pioneer DJS-1000 now reads the Disk but reads nothing else on the disk except for the LOOPMASTERS SAMPLE PACK.
5. Now, Take the Disk BACK OUT of the Pioneer DJS-1000, and go BACK to the Computer.
6. Take the Samples you have set aside on the Desktop and move them to the USB drive, but put them in the 'Samples' file in the Pioneer DJ file that the DJS-1000 makes for the USB to recognize it!
7. BOOOM!!! ALL of your sample files will pop up on the Pioneer DJ screen because the machine won't search anywhere else but the Sample file in the Pioneer DJ file on your USB!
YES! I'M THE FUCKING MAN!!!
