is it possible to remap the sample volume knob and have it become the headphone volume knob.
i would prefer the headphone volume knob to be on the top of the mixer rather than the front.

Yes, the Sampler Volume knob can be remapped to Headphone Volume, but it won't control it, because with the DDJ-RR, the headphone volume is controlled by the hardware knob, not by software.
