HELP! Weird Sync Glitch at end with multiple grids

When aligning the grid on old tunes with slight variations in BPM throughout the track. I use the "Make an adjustment from the current position" tool, to split the track into several beatgrids to make it fit.

However I've start noticing that tracks that are gridded this way show a VERY STRANGE behavior at the end of the track.

* note I'm not doing anything here. top track is gridded.

Imagine what that does to the audio when faded from A to B, but sync on B is still on...
