DDJ RX Needle Search and Channel faders

Hi, i bought the ddj rx yesterday, and having a few niggles with it. First is the needlesearch, its not working at all. Is there a setting for this somewhere to enable it?

Also, the channel faders seem very sensitive when the volume is shifted i.e when moving up  from fully down (dead) it gets a quarter of the way up before any volume, so feels like it just jumps in if that makes sense?
