Are you using the pad in Midi Channel or the Toraiz AS-1 Channel? also you have the AS-1 set in slave mode in the global setup?

SP-16 controlling AS-1
I understand how to Midi AS-1 into a track on the SP-16. When I hit the pads on the SP-16 it plays the sounds of the AS-1.
However, what I CANNOT do is record a sequence for the AS-1 using the SP-16 step sequencer. I can record steps just as with any external synth or internal sample but once I hit "Play" no sounds a registered. Further, during play AS-1 will NOT play sounds when in "Scale" mode.

Anyone know if i can link the toraiz as 1 to sp 16 but have the as 1 as the master tempo instead of th sp16,currently sp 16 is the master but i dont like that if i stop the sp 16 the as 1 will stop as well and that means i cant leave the as 1 playing while looking for a track on the sp 16,thanks
