I'm amazed I seem to be the only one having this issue. I'm attempting to update to firmware 1.3 and have been for some time. None of my friends with the Toraiz can answer why this is happening either, but it's simply stuck on the "Insert USB" screen. I've tried 3 different thumb drives, formatted. I've tried keeping the file in the folder, and copying it to the root. I've tried putting in the thumb drive before I power it on, after I power it on, while the lights are still on but says insert USB on the screen, and long after all the lights are off and it says that on the screen. I've done this a hundred times in every combination but it just WON'T update. Getting extremely frustrated. I had issues with it before but it eventually just worked when i updated to 1.2. I just can't get it to work again. Everything else on it works great.
I can see the lights on the USB drives so I know it's reading. Just nothing makes sense. These are all high end thumb drives too. There's just no reason i can think of this should be happening. ANY insight would be greatly appreciated.
@Dustin > It's possible that you didn't format those drives to the correct file system / boot record; if it didn't have a MBR (Master Boot Record), it might not have been identified by the SP16 properly.

Update. I did not format but DELETED the content off of another drive, and that one worked just fine. Tried it with 4 different drives. Very odd. Newly-formatted drives didn't work, [fat32] but just deleting files and putting the update on did. Hopefully this helps anyone with any similar issues!
Have you tried to transfer wav files to and from sp16 to the usb drive to see if the drive is functioning properly.
