Were they working prior to this? What version of Serato are you using, and have you updated the Firmware on the SX2/ We'll start there and then what's up..

DDJ SX2 FX not working at all
I have tried everything and am not able to get the FX to work. From the almost nil postings on the web regarding this I guess its not a common issue. This is the first time trying to use the FX on this particular board.

This is a new system and the first time I have tried to use the FX. Serato DJ version is 1.9.6

You need to make sure these at least one of these buttons are pressed and illuminated in order for the FX to work. 
The "1" will assign the FX from the left side and the "2" will assign the FX from the left side.

Thanks for the reply... I think I am way beyond this. definitely have been doing this. I'm starting to wonder if something is wrong with my board

Sorry, Matthew. You didn't give me much information to go on so I started with the basics. It's extremely unlikely that your SX2 would be faulty right out of the box. Can you record a quick video and share the link with us so we can check out exactly what the issue might be?
