Are you running it with Rekordbox DJ, if so then set up Audacity to take a line in from the master output. If not go to setting utilities and reconfig the rec out for use with USB cable from the 250mk2 so you can record that way instead.
Hi, I'm looking for some guidance with my DJM 250 MK2, x2 XDJ-700 set up.
I've already recorded some mixes through the Rekordbox software, but I find that the sound playbacks too quietly and it muffles in places. I have tried many different ways of setting trim/master gain/Rekordbox gain to maximise volume while never clipping red on my mixer and within Rekorbox. In comparison to my old DDJ-SB2 and Serato recordings it is very quiet.
I have decided to try and record through Audacity instead now to see if I get better results. I'd like some guidance in setting up my DJM 250MK2 with my laptop and Audacity. I have an RCA to 3.5mm jack, and I also have a USB cable so I could use either of them to connect mixer to laptop.
What would be the best set up and how would I go about it to be able to record my mixes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
