I haven't tested using two Master databases, but the beta currently allows one Master and several Export databases (the kind you would create for use with a CDJ).
Hi all,
Can anyone tel me if it is's possible to merge 2 libraries together with the cue points etc all coming over?
Myself and a friend are doing a mega mix and we have years worth of music between us. Rather than just me adding my tracks to his library and having to resort everything I was thinking of doing this...
1 - Putting all my tracks on an external HD
2 - Exporting my RekordBox DataBackup to the same External HD
3 - Adding my RB Data to his RB Data
4 - Locating all missing tracks from the external device.
I am hoping this would mean we still have our separate libraries and tracks, but would all be available on one RekordBox system as we are using an RX.
I want to make sure my data won't overwrite his within his data.

In performance mode this option is coming, it is available in Rekordbox BEAT 5.0.0 which would allow you to play from the hard drive on a computer and a USB device as well so it will see both databases. This way you won't have to merge them because it would become one library internally as Rekordbox would see.
Ah ok cool, so I can download the BETA, export my tracks and RB data backup to my external HD then just plug in my HD to my friends laptop (also running 5.0.0) and his Laptop will read my external HD as it's own library on his machine?
Or do you mean export as normal as if we were going to play in a club and take a USB with us? In which case, do I need to export to the USB in a certain mode (like you need to with the R1), of is it just the standard CDJ export?
