Did you launch the NI Controller Editor?, pretty sure I had to do that before Rekordbox would see my Kontrol X1 MK1

Help with midi controller and sync issues with Rekordbox
Hi Rekordbox users! I have been using Traktor Pro for several years and was excited to try out Rekordbox with it's Interface 2. I am not new to DVS software. After playing around with Rekordbox for about an hour, I was overall impressed with this new product. Its missing some of features like stems etc but The latency and cpu % usage was excellent. The audio quality was crisp and with 44.1khz and at 256bit my latency was less than 7ms which was awesome to scratch with without any dropouts or hiccups. I did notice two issues that I need expert advice with.
1) let's say I have two songs in sync in relative mode, but need to fine tune the beat match since they are off slightly, I would normally adjust that by nudging or slowing the track with the turntable. This worked great in Traktor ans the tracks would still remain synced and the sync button would even highlight yellow. In Rekordbox, the sync button would sync the tempo but when I have to manually tweak it with the turntable it would not stay in sync and I would have to push the sync button again as tracks and bpms would start to waver. That is so frustrating. . Also Traktor had the option to sync the tempo versus sync to the next beat , but Rekordbox doesn't have that even when quantized it enabled, it just sync the tempo and not the beats.
2) I have tried to use my Kontrol X1 mk2 controller but I cannot get it to work with Rekordbox. I have gone into midi settings and pressed the shift and L and R arrows on my midi controller to initiate midi mode but still it won't show up in Rekordbox. I made sure the drivers are installed but still no luck I really would like to use this controller in Rekordbox. Please advise. I have downloaded the midi map file from Dj tech tools and tried to import it but still controller won't work. This is so crazy. I don't know if others are having these problems too.
Thanks
AJ

Ok I will try that. Thanks for the tip.
Any luck on that? I'm experiencing the same issue. I have launched NI controller editor and got the controller in midi mode but rekordbox still wont recognize it in the MIDI tab.
rekordbox does recognize NI controllers, but they have to be in MIDI mode. Check that your hardware is, in fact, sending MIDI signal via a MIDI monitor application.
