The master out signal would be the same L/R, so you could use the master out from the XDJ to one channel on the 900 and then go from there. You'd have 2 decks, but one signal...
Bit of a convoluted question here... But I am thinking about the purchase of a XDJ-RX for Burning Man. I don't want to take a laptop nor do I want to take my 900nxs2 and CDJ2000nxs2.
Figured a all-in-one system would do the trick and if it gets extensive damage, so be it.
But I've also considered adding another CDJ2000 or two to my home setup so I can use a 3rd and 4th channel.
It occurred to me, maybe the XDJ-RX could double as my #3 and #4 deck when I return home. I would somehow wire the XDJ-RX into the DJM900.
The only apparent option I would have is to Master out of XDJ-RX into one of the channels on the DJM but that's not my ideal setup. Ideal setup would be: Channel 1 XDJ (L)
Channel 2 CDJ (L)
Channel 3 CDJ (R)
Channel 4 XDJ (R)
Is this even possible? Any thoughts of alternative ways to make the most of a combined system? I don't want to use the XDJ as the mixer. I want the 4 channels and functionality of the DJM900.
Thanks,

One possible way to get your ideal setup would be to connect the XDJ-RX and the DJM 900NXS2 to your laptop and use rekordbox dj (performance mode). The XDJ-RX would basically act as a midi controller for rekordbox dj for two decks. The DJM would act as the external mixer (in the rekordbox dj settings you would set the mixer mode as external and pick the 900NXS2 in the drop down menu) and the deck sections/pads on the XDJ-RX would work as normal.
I know for sure that the type of setup I'm describing works when using a DDJ-RB and a DJM900NXS2, so there's a high probability that it could work in the same way with an XDJ-RX. The CDJs could be plugged in as normal (line in/digital in) or you could use them in hid mode
