I had a mate install (cheap) 90 degree RCAs so as to fit setup into roadcase properly.
As ive fiddled with the (cheap) RCAs ive somehow managed to bend the bit of metal that holds the red and white RCA sockets and its come apart from the chipboard. However i took it apart and fixed that but when I eventually put it all back together Ive (stupidly) forgotten that the power supply switch is on the top and that the base will always be live if its plugged in and turned on at the wall.
Ive gone to connect the only cable that connects to the top half and im fairly sure it sparked.
Went to turn it on after putting it back together and i get nothing.
Ive ruled out the top half to be faulty as ive connected it to the bottom half of my other CDJ-850 and it seems to be working fine.
What will i need to do to determine which part is faulty and most likely needs replacing?
I have a gig coming up at the end of the month so please throw any productive info to get this sorted at me as quick as possible. Dont worry, i already know how stupid I am for not unplugging it but when i coulda just left the straight RCAs that were working fine plugged in, although they were too tight to fit adequately in the roadcase, my patience was wearing thin. Thanks.
