Dedicated Forum - DJS-1000

Will there be a dedicated forum for the DJS-1000 or are all posts suppose to go into the Toraiz slot?

This is crazy, no dedicated forum or subforum? This is Pioneer's latest device and new customers like myself get swamped in all the Toraiz hoopla and have to search for DJS threads? Bad signs already...

I must add that the Toraiz SP-16 and the DJS-1000 are two different beasts in their own right to be even on the same forum. Sure they may have similar lay-outs of the GUI but their focus are different from one another.

1)DJS does not have Song Arrangement

2)DJS does not have a 64 sec sample limit.

3)DJS' internal memory does not write, READ ONLY.

4)No fancy Dave Smith filters.

And you know what? Those things didn't stop me from buying a DJS-1000!

Pioneer DJ needs to rise above the insults, man up and continue to make innovative products and support them.

Please make a seperate forum where we DJS guys can teach and learn from each other like a real forum should.

Thank you.

I love how you managed to put "man up" right after "rise above the insults," and I hope you see the irony in that.

We do not currently have plans to separate the topics for these two products, but appreciate your feedback.

Actually, this forum is a complete mess. How come you don't have simple links to separate CDJs like 2000s Nxs, DJMs 800s, 900s, Toraiz, DJS and so forth. What i mean is now everything is like Itunes. Everything bundled together. Not everyone enjoy that mess. I prefer order and when i look for info i wan't to find it fast and easy.

To not have dedicated threads for Toraiz or DJS 1000?. Well, to use a simple and easy to understand word. is DUMB!

And why Pioneer did not include a SD slot on the DJS 1000 is beyond me.

And how come, still you don't have made it so all the new answered threads end at the top?

Having separate topics for each product would make a mess for users who have combined products. Grouping products by family is easy as many of them are similar in function and operation.

Just like the SP-16 and DJS-1000.

I think Pioneer have created a problem by building a new Toraiz brand for production then fairly closely released a non-Toraiz machine which is extremely similar to the SP-16. What is the DJS-1000, is it Production, is it DJing? Why did the SP-16 file structure change to match the DJS-1000? This all suggests to me the SP-16 lost out to a DJ style sampler. The Toraiz branding was a brief experiment with production. Back to DJ business as usual.

Lol! I see the irony, just was typing out of my mind. But you get the point.

It just shows a lack of support for a new product and it's so obvious that no one cared to add "DJS-1000" along with the Toraiz products in the headline of this very forum, so if you gonna put it in the same forum, at least have the decency to label as such so users know where to post. I even see DJS threads in the CDJ forums so yes it's a mess. The new post feature is useless when 6 months from now someone has a problem and cannot find answers to old questions.

Don't mean to come off as chastising, but Pioneer DJ has a potential product here and it's a shame they can't even see it and what it can do to shape the future. I've been producing since 1992 and used all kinds of samplers and production tools. Nothing is like the DJS in my experience. It needs it's own forum so people that think outside the box can get together and share new ideas and methods like a music forum should.

I would like some suggestions as to what I should use to record performances while using the Toraiz and DJS 1000 (Before I go head and buy the DJS 1000).
I don't enjoy using the extensive MPC layout and find the simplicity in the Pioneer designs sufficient.
I don't want to keep going back to the daw to extend play time and layer other instruments. I would really like to brainstorm for a longer period of time if that is the case, so I can go over the multitudes of variations and cut the fat. So guessin I'm looking for an easier way to go back and forth with tascam or something.

New DJS1000 owner here:

Is there a way to transpose sequences so that all "pitch p-locks" remain proportionately intact on triggers?
