DJM 900 Nexus 2 Midi

Hi all

I am not a DJ or a user of the mixer however I am doing lights at a club where we use the DJM 900 Nexus 2 (Seratto version if it makes any difference). 

My question is I want to link the mixer (probably through MIDI) to my lighting desk (Avolites Quartz, which also has MIDI) so it can pick up the BPM from it. 

I have been researching it and the LX desk has a hardware trigger which I can use but I want to know if the MIDI on the 900 can send MIDI Beat through or is ShowKontrol the only way at the moment?

Obviously if anyone else has any other way he/she can suggest you are more than welcome.
