How to reset the speed of a song after using sync button

As asked in another topic, what hardware are you using with rekordbox?

thank you. I did know that and find it quite cumbersome. It would be great if this was an easier way (like double tab on sync or so).

The reason it doesn't just reset is in case you do it by accident; you have to use the software pick-up to change it.

I agree there must be a way to do a reset of tempo via hardware . Assume this 

- we load Song1 and use the sync button . This adjusts the tempo for song 1

- we turn off sync and load song 2 in the same deck . Now song 2 also is adjusted to the previous tempo adjusted percentage . This happens without sync been on.

This is an issue because we do not expect to change or sync song2 but load it with its actual tempo. Moreover since the tempo slider is in the middle , trying to figure out the adjustment to reset tempo seems unnecessary for song2 .

Additionally this become more complicated while using along with Ableton Link enabled in Rekordbox 6 .  

Please look at this and maybe you can address it with either these approaches :

1. When a new song is loaded and if sync is not enabled then reset the tempo adjustment to 0 . 

2. Provide a double tap on sync to reset to original tempo atleast while the song is not playing.

Honestly, just switched to Rekordbox from Serato due to Serato deciding to brick itself on my machine and this is my biggest complaint, the way it does FX is also a little weird but not that weird. On Serato when you hit sync it will sync to the downbeat of the track and bpm that sync isn't activated on, when you hit it again, it goes back to the tempo the pitch fader was last at, so if you brought a 128 bpm track up to 135, hit sync to 150 and then hit sync again later, it drops back to 135. This allowed it to be used 1. a hell of a lot more easily, I'm definitely struggling here, and 2. a hell of a lot more creatively and allowed for more full-flavor/hybrid sets using bridge tracks. Pioneer, please fix this in the software and in future models of CDJ/XDJ players, it's not that hard and your "accident protection" causes more accidents than it would prevent. You could even just make it a setting we can toggle on and off in case we want that protection or in case we know what we're doing.

Ngl, kinda disappointed that a tempo reset option is not available on $2k+ controller like the XDJ - RX3. 

My thinking is what if I want to make a huge jump from a 128 bpm track to 172 track?

Sure the option to move the tempo fader around is there but that just wont cut it when trying make large bpm changes when switching genre's during a tracks break / turnaround. 

I switched to Pioneer from Traktor because I thought "industry standards" would mean at least comparable features to other VDJ software. 

Is there any chance of an update that could have something like this implemented:

Shift + Tempo or Shift + Master Tempo = 

1) BPM on track reverts to original BPM

2) Tempo fader becomes unresponsive until it hits 0

3) Sync between tracks is broken

Because of the sync making the physical fader move to a virtual position, you need to "pick up" the fader position by moving the pitch to that location, then you're able to move it to wherever you want. Having it jump back to 0% would potentially be disastrous.

I'm in a similar boat, I understand the how and why behind it, but it would be extremely nice to have a way to quickly reset bpm to the physical fader location, such as a quick cut at a break or something like that.
