DMX RB-1 reported discontinued from multiple suppliers?

A 6 month old post has you stating it is not discontinued yet availability in the UK is zero with 50% of suppliers announcing it as being discontinued. A supplier wouldn't normally turn away business without some hard evidence to back up the discontinued report.

Did I back the wrong horse buying heavily into Pioneer? because it's beginning to feel that way.

The RB-DMX1 is not discontinued, but rather on short supply due to difficulty in obtaining the necessary parts for production thanks to the global silicon crunch.

You can't add your own fixture, but you can ask our lighting database team to include it and it's usually added to the rekordbox database within 2 weeks.

The computer is required because of the lighting programs themselves, and none of our controllers are capable of storing the lighting fixture library / macro library / hosting the DMX device.

Not an answer but just my thoughts.

I sent mine back to the supplier because it's too difficult IMHO to add your own fixture on this. And also because it needs a computer whereas I'd prefer not to have one just for this...

That's sad because it was a smart idea to have this part of recordbox. i.e. play your music and we will play the lights for you accordingly...
