Not all drives are compatible.
Not all drives formatted FAT32 are compatible.
If your drive doesn't work, try another drive, or make sure you have it formatted FAT32 with MBR (Master Boot Record).
hey!
Out of the blue my XZ simply stopped recognising USBs. Sticks that were working few days ago - btw same sticks still work on CDJ-s - do not work anymore on XZ. (all sticks are Fat32 format)
Even if I take a new usb stick, export from rekordbox etc still no read from XZ.
There has been no damage to XZ, also USB ports still have electrical signal (meaning ports are no dead). All functions work perfectly in link mode with laptop.
It kind of seems to be a software/firmware issue, but obv. cannot change the software, since I need XZ to read usb to make an update....
Any suggestions what to try? All the circuits on motherboard seem to be working etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried updating the firmware at all?
I have tried but with no success since it wont recognise USB sticks. I cannot pass the point where it says "Insert USB (to start update) "
Hey, just found this post looking for a solution to the same problem. I'm trying to update from 1.22 to 1.24 and when I startup I get to the "Connect USB storage device into top USB1 port" screen and it doesn't read my USB and start updating. It's almost like it doesn't recognize my USB drive at all just for the update. I've dj'd with one of the USB's before so I know it works. I've tried 2 different USB drives now, both formatted FAT32 and neither of them work. Any help is much appreciated
edit: I just tried erasing and re-formatting one of the smaller 16GB USB drives to FAT, copying the install file, and it still does not work.
