Weird one for you. I was playing a set today and was making some pretty big jumps in bpm, so had sync mode enabled.
I'd been sitting on a BPM for a while, and when I moved the pitch to the master deck, the pitch did not change.
I had to move it quickly up and down, and it woke up, resulting in a crazy jump in BPM.
This happened more than once during my 3-hour mix.
Once it's woken up, it works perfectly. But leave if for a few minutes, and it seems to go back to sleep, and the only way to wake it back up is to wiggle the pitch again, which isn't ideal.
Hoping you can assist with this.
This is normal - when your fader is not at the current pitch value, you need to "pick it up" so you need to move the physical pitch fader to the position where the software value is. You noted a "crazy jump" because you probably overshot where it was. The pitch range was higher because you noted "big jumps in BPM" so in order to be in a valid range, it had to change to a higher % range on the fader.
