Rekordbox is not asking me if I'd like to "find other missing files using the location of this track"

I just purchased an externall SSD to use as the new location of my master database. I'm running V. 5.8.7  I copied my 90K+ files from the current drive to the new one and left the folder name the same which is called "Music". All of my files are in this folder - there are no subfolders.

I then gave the drives different letters using Windows Disk Management and changed the database drive letter in File-Preferences-Database-Database Management and that only showed the 5 or 6 default tracks but none of mine. So then I exported the database, not including the music as I’d already copied this across, to the new drive. Note - any previous time I have tried to back up the database with the music it always fails. This time all my tracks appeared.

I then clicked File-Display all missing files, and then following the advice of others in the forum, I then relocated a single file on the assumption and advice that I’d then be asked if I’d like to relocate them all, but I’ve tried a few times, including choosing the single relocate option (right click in the collection), but this didn’t work either.

Any assistance would be massively appreciated.

Thanks for the video Pulse. I've seen that one before and it didn't work for me last time I followed it, however this time I left the laptop for a lot longer after selecting relocate and it worked. Kind of. This time it brought up the message titled Missing File Manager asking me if I'd like to find the other files. I clicked Yes but that was 4 hours ago. I thought I'd give it a while considering there are 91K tracks, but after 4 hours with the message still on my screen I'm thinking it's maybe not going to work. I'm in Australia so I'll be going to bed soon and will leave it running overnight.

So I left it all night and it's still sitting there doing nothing. It appears using the Missing File Manager just freezes Rekordbox, so that the only way you can use it again is to use CTRL, ALT, DEL. I have tried this multiple times this morning and I can't even get Rekordbox to find any of the files that I've tried searching for, and then the app just freezes.

I just thought of more info that may be of use. One video that I watched recommended I give the new drive a different letter using Disc Management. I did this and I use Preferences to switch it when I try the new drive but it still can't find the tracks. If I swap the drives back again and then open the program, slect the default drive C: and then go back into Prefs and swtch the drive back again, then it works fine. I just can't get Rekordbox to work with this new SSD.

So I finally figured it out!

The original drive used to be called Local Disk (F:) (F:) - for whatever reason it duplicated the drive letter, but it worked fine when I chose the F option in Prefs so I didn't care.

I called the new drive (T:) and Windows added another (T:) just like it did with the F, but this time it wasn't working. Realising this may have something to do with it I found the directions in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wagz1uCJeQ  and this time everything worked as it should have done in the first place. This action also renamed the drive F from T which is important to note.

Phew! Now I don't have to throw out my brand new SSD :)
