The controller is showing the audio output levels and seems to be working properly however the audio is not coming out of the master or the headphones. I tried using with laptop first through rekordbox, and went through as many troubleshooting forums as I could find and none fixed the issue. I then went the usb route and tried it standalone and it still would not output any sound. Controller is 2 days old, any suggestions?

Do you have signal showing on the channels, master, or both?
The levels on the channels are controlled by the TRIM knobs, the levels on the master require that you've got a channel fader open (with the crossfader in the appropriate position), and that the MASTER volume knob is turned up.
Yeah all knobs are in correct position. I've used controllers and cdjs alot so I know it's not a simple fix like that. Interestingly though, even when the track is paused a signal is showing through. I've seen this happen in production software but not on a controller before. 
If you have audio when paused, you have vinyl mode disabled and it's giving you the old style 1 frame loop cueing. I can see the right deck has VINYL mode enabled (blue LED), press the button on the left deck.
I also see you have nothing connected to the outputs, so I'm not sure how you were expecting to hear anything?
Unplugged it to see if it was some sort of feedback issue. Doesn't work when plugged in.
How are you connecting / what are you connecting to?
