Duplicate Tracks and missing tracks that can't be relocated: "File already in collection"
I've been using Rekordbox & iTunes for awhile and have been more or less able to work through all the issues. Today I opened up Rekordbox (no other changes other than upgrading to 6.6.9 a few days ago) and it created duplicate tracks for everything in my collection. The original track that shows cue points, MyTag, etc is now missing, and I can't relocate it because it says "track already exists in collection." Of course the new track doesn't have any cue point data.
I looked at the file names and all my original tracks that I can't play are in a "Media" folder. The new tracks were created in a "Media.localized" folder. I've tried to auto-relocate and manually relocate the files but I keep getting a "file is already in collection" message. If I try and remove the duplicate "media.localized" file from the collection and delete the file, I can go back and find the original "media" file, but when I try and remap it I still get the error message that the "file is already in collection."
I watched some great videos by Mix Master G that were similar to this subject, so yeah, I tried to do my homework before asking here.
I'm not sure if using iTunes plus RB Cloud Sync keeps screwing this up but I'm just trying to clean up my collection so I can move the main database to a desktop computer and just have my laptop sync to that and download what I need. But its like herding cats trying to chase down all the right file paths and get them to a single location...
