Allow Midi "IN" mapping on DDJ-REV7 and DJM-S11 S9, etc for Footswitch Function and Hardware Controls

I really liked the footswitch function of the Rane Seventytwo which allowed me to turn on\off the hardware effects while scratching and keep my hands on the platter and the crossfader. 

I tried to program a Midi footswitch to send the appropriate midi command to my DDJ-REV7 but it doesn't appear to respond to any incoming midi signals. It only transmits them.

I've been searching everywhere and I can't find any way to do this with Pioneer DJ equipment. Hopefully I'm missing something.

If not, can you please make this happen?
