Help me! DJM 2000 soundcards

Hi,

I wrote in the old forum a doubt I had, and I'd like to share it know with you, and see if someone can help me.

I think I have a problem with the DJM 2000 sound cards. That mixer has 2 cards, one input card and oune uotput card. The input with two channels and the output with 8 or 6, depending on the configuration.

When I install the drivers, I can change between the DJM 2000 available configurations, (8 outputs, 0 imputs; 6 outputs, 2 imputs; 6 outputs, 0 imputs 24 bits) but at the midi configuration window, within the properties of the DJM 2000 display, it only appears as input and not as output.

That is why, with programms as Traktor or Ableton, I cannot configurate the DJM as output channels.

Am I doing something wrong? Is it a problem with the DJM 2000?

 I use a Macbook Pro.

 Thanks!

Ricardo Alva

I don't think its your mixer. I have a PC. But on MACs it sees them as two sound cards as you say. So you have to make them in too an aggregated device. So the software sees them as one. I'm not sure how to do this as i don't have a Mac but Pulse or some one else will chime in and explain it all to you.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks so much for your help!

The real problem is that the icon DJM 2000 does nor apper within the audio devices...

Nevertheless, it does appear in the midi devices.....see the images attached:

Hello Pulse,

Yes, I just checked that i am operating in a 64bit kernel....

That is the problem, right?

I am going to change to 32bit!

Thank you so much for your help!

@Ricardo > We've had a few users note bizarre behaviour with the drivers under 64bit kernels; the engineers are aware of the issue and hopefully we'll see a fix for it soon.  In the meantime, if you boot to 32bit mode (reboot, hold the "3" and "2" keys while you see the grey screen), you should have no problems.

Hi everyone,

another question about the DJM-2000 soundcards: Is it possible to send Rec-Out-signals to a usb-connected PC via the soundcard or is it just possible to send the Master-signals?

Thank you

@Pulse that's the nexus you have a pic of there not the 2000. I thought the 2000 had only master out but I may be wrong.
