[CLOSED] DJM-2000 update ?

After spending 6k plus dollars on my full 2000 set up I'm just wondering if we are going to see some kind of update

for the DJM-200 ?

I know we touched base on this subject before the forums got switched but I wanted to jump back to it and

see if there has been any progress in the matter.

I know a lot of us have already expressed our concerns about spending all this money and just to get out done

by the DJM-900.

Thanks to all the Pioneer Admins and Support I appreciate your time and efforts in all the Pioneer dj matters.

Thanks - Bill

Of course Pioneer needs to update the djm2000 around mid july as they said ... the 'flagship' mixer has to return at its place ...

i cant wait to see the reverb being updated, because i do not like generally the djm-reverbs, they sound awful.

Im really interested in how it will sound.

Also Quantization is a big +

I love the current reverb, if used properly it's sounds amazing. On the other hand it is very easy to make it sound awful of both tracks are live and the effect is just put over the mix, jab and cut the fader for booming effects

The question could also be : Why the hell DJM900 has already 2 firmware updates while the DJM2000 has to wait so long ? Oo

Hey Pulse. Will there be a Pio video on the new update on the 2000 and it's new functions?

One thing about the new update, I hope the update mechanism itself is improved.  I had to tear my home LAN and laptop network settings apart to make sure I adhered exactly to the instructions so that the last update was sure to work.

Since the hardware is network aware - it's getting DHCP addresses from my router, so it surely is - it would be good for it to be a bit 'nicer'.  Something along the lines of a GUI that says "Ah, I've found a DJM-2000 on your network with firmware version x.xx", displays the results and allows you to update from there.

:)

Mid-July can be anywhere from 10th to 20th so we can start asking soon..( just to be stating the obvious ) i doubt we will get any more info though, they will make an annoncement when the file is ready for DL.   hope its out before next weekend!

Asking daily would be equivalent to a kid in the back seat of the car asking "Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?"

Don't ask, we'll announce it when it's available, simple as that.

It could be both... we will see :)

I really hope that it is a "step forward" to more effects and more funtionallity, like the soundissues by using the frequency knob @ trans effect and so on...

I'm really looking forward to it! Hope the 2,5 k were a good investigation...

Hey everyone, We are very lucky to be receiving the updates that will be implemented in time for the DJM-2000. Im looking forward to this. It will be great to update the mixer with the latest features. Yes it would be cool to have some extra features, however with that being said there are some great, and effective ways on using the side chain remix mode.

The best way I figured how to use the side chain remix mode is to select the channel you want to side chain. Then select a different channel the signal comes onto. For example it your track is on 4 - side chain the remix to say example channel 2. Once you have the side chain sound on channel 2 use the efx-echo - This will give you some very cool sounds once you play with the x-y pad.

tweak some things out and find new creative ways to incorporate your effects so they work for your sets:) Remember, Mix and enjoy:) I love the DJM-2000!!! Hands down kick ass mixer:)
