DJM 2000 + CDJ 2000 + Traktor Scratch Pro 2?

Hey guys!  Above is what we have installed in my booth at my club.  Using this setup, is there any way to run Traktor Scratch without having to use my Audio 8 soundcard, or is that exclusive to the DJM 900?  Cheers :)

to use traktor scratch pro WITHOUT an NI soundcard you need a traktor certified mixer. the djm2000 is not certified but the 900 nexus is. there are other non pioneer mixers that are certified too. i hope this helps.

Yes, thanks.  You confirmed what I thought.  Basically I could use the soundcard in either the DJM 2000 or CDJ 2000 with Traktor, but I could not use either for "Scratch" control over the software.  Too bad bc I would def buy a 2000 for my home if it had the Scratch certification.  I currently have an 800 and cant really justify buying new mixer just for a few new FX and built in Scratch control.  Would love to see Pioneer certify the 2000 but realistically cant see that ever happening  :/

@mest42085 > Because the DJM-2000 only has 2 inputs, you wouldn't be able to control more than 1 deck anyhow.  If you're using MIDI mode from the CDJs, you could control the software without timecode.  There won't be any updates to change this, sorry.

Too sad to know that it's a hardware limitation.

If only Pioneer could release a PCB upgrade for an 8In/8Out (or 10In/10Out) soundcard (for a reasonable cost), so that users who are interested into this feature, could get their DJM-2000 mixers to the nearest Pioneer center for such an upgrade.

Is this possible (or under any consideration)?
